Perfectly located close to attractions, Hotel Oslo Guldsmeden is stylishly designed and thoughtfully appointed with Persian rugs, Chesterfield couches, rustic wooden furniture, and lambskin throws. Hurtigruten uses a fleet of 11 ships that cruise up and down the west coast of Norway. The larger 1,000-passenger ships travel 1,490 miles into the Arctic, while the smaller 290-passenger ships cruise shorter segments. Almost all of them start at or make a stop in Bergen. All ships share the same look and feel, with viewing decks, lounges, cafes, bars and gift shops, cafes, and elevators between decks. Cabins come with windows, en-suite bathroom with hot shower, and Wi-Fi.

Offering panoramic views of the Geiranger Fjord, Hotel Geiranger is a pleasant retreat in an epic location. The hotel has 150 comfortable rooms, some featuring fjord vistas and balconies. There are several dining options at the hotel, as well as bars and a lounge, but the real highlight is the natural wonders that await outside.

Located in Romsdal, the charming Hotel Aak originally served as accommodation for mountaineers back when it opened in 1860. Today it boasts a great combination of old-town Norwegian character, warm hospitality, and modern luxury. Guests wake up every morning to the smell of fresh bread and peer up at the towering, jagged peaks which surround the town.
Day: 5, duration: 2Kavli Moen Gard
Nestled in the village of Eresfjord, the Kavli Moen Gard is an intimate and charming countryside accommodation. Dating all the way back to 1603, the property has a traditional feel with modern amenities. Guests consistently compliment the hosts, as this family run establishment is known for its warm hospitality and authentic local meals with wonderful wine pairings. With regard to the natural backdrop, one guest remarked "if you are not able to enjoy these surroundings, you need to call your doctor!"

Sondre is from Skien in southern Norway, but moved to the mountains on the west coast where he lives now. He is passionate about the outdoors and has broad guiding experience from the sea to the mountains, both in summer and in winter. Sondre is studying for his BA in Adventure Education & Wilderness Leadership, and enjoys introducing people to the wonders of his home—Norway.
Thomas Riis

Who will meet me on arrival?On Day 1, your trip leader will meet you in the arrivals hall of Oslo's Gardermoen Airport (OSL) between 12pm and 12:15pm. We'll then transfer as a group to our hotel in Oslo.
Are hiking poles provided or recommended for this trip?This trip is moderate with good paths, so hiking poles are not mandatory. However, if you like to hike with poles, you should bring your own on this trip.
Are there hairdryers available at all of the accommodations?Yes.
Do any of the hotels on this trip provide laundry service?No. We recommend bringing your own small bottle of Woolite or similar to wash items in your room.
Will there be mosquitos on this trip?No. Because of the sea breeze that we frequently encounter on this trip, the mosquitos are not a problem.
Is there a weight limit for luggage on this trip?On the last day of the trip, when we transfer from Leknes to Bodo by plane, there is a weight limit of 8 kilograms (17 pounds) for your CARRY ON LUGGAGE ONLY.
